Hands-On Boat Control for Saltwater Fishing

The Minn Kota Riptide Maxxum saltwater bow-mount trolling motor combines hand steering, a tilt-and-extend tiller, and corrosion-resistant construction. Work along a shoreline with quiet motor power, then use the Latch & Door mount for easy motor removal at the end of the day. Choose the thrust, shaft length, and speed-control system that fits your boat and fishing style.

Choose Your Motor Type & Power Configuration

  • Thrust (Voltage): Choose 55 lb thrust at 12V, 70 lb thrust at 24V, or 80 lb thrust at 24V.
  • Shaft length options: 42 or 52 inches for the 55 lb models; 52 inches for the 70 and 80 lb models.
  • Speed control: The 55 and 70 lb models offer five forward and three reverse speeds. The 80 lb model offers variable speed with Digital Maximizer.

Hand Steering & Mounting

  • Tilt/Extend Tiller: Tilts up to 45 degrees and extends up to 6 inches for comfortable hand control.
  • Latch & Door mount: Holds the motor securely when stowed and allows easy removal for storage.
  • Manual operation: These models do not include automatic stow/deploy, Power Trim, a wireless remote, or GPS positioning.

Speed Control & Battery Management

The 55 and 70 lb models offer five forward and three reverse speed settings. The 80 lb model offers variable speed with Digital Maximizer, delivering the power needed for your selected speed to help conserve battery capacity. Digital Maximizer does not apply to the 55 and 70 lb models in this listing.

A push-to-test battery meter lets you check battery status at the motor head. Actual runtime depends on battery capacity and condition, speed, boat load, wind, and current.

Saltwater Protection & Quiet Power

Riptide corrosion protection helps resist saltwater exposure with protective coatings and a durable powder-coat finish. The lower unit is designed for cool, quiet operation to help extend motor life and reduce disturbance while fishing.
