Minn Kota Fish Finder & Live Sonar FAQs

Choose a Minn Kota X Series Fish Finder for Your Boat

The Minn Kota X Series brings Humminbird Imaging, navigation, and connected boat control together in one fish finder. Choose from the listed 7-, 9-, 10-, 12-, and 16-inch configurations, depending on the options available. Compare screen size, mounting space, and transducer-package contents to find the right setup for your console or bow.

See Fish and Structure with Humminbird Imaging

Side Imaging and Down Imaging help reveal structure beside and beneath the boat, while Dual Spectrum CHIRP sonar helps separate fish from surrounding cover. The Cross Touch interface gives you a choice of touchscreen or keypad operation. Sonar capabilities and coverage depend on the exact control head, transducer, settings, and installation.

Mapping and Connected Navigation

X Series packages include Minn Kota Maps with coverage for more than 13,000 inland lakes and coastal mapping. AutoChart Live lets you create maps of depth contours, bottom hardness, and vegetation as you drive. Check coverage for your waters and the requirements for optional mapping upgrades before choosing your unit.

With compatible connected equipment, Draw and Navigate lets you draw a course on the screen for your trolling motor to follow. Intelligent Depth Control detects depth changes and can alert you, engage Spot-Lock, and deploy compatible shallow-water anchors when needed. These functions require supported motors, anchors, connections, and software; they are not capabilities of the display alone.

Plan Your Transducer and Live-Sonar Setup

X Series options are offered with or without a transducer. Check the selected package rather than assuming every fish finder includes one. Live sonar is a separate upgrade that lets you watch fish and lure movement in real time with compatible equipment.

The Humminbird MEGA Live 2 listing in this collection describes Forward, Down, and Landscape viewing modes and compatibility with APEX, SOLIX G3, and XPLORE control heads. The manufacturer’s X Series page also lists MEGA Live 2 compatibility. Because the current MEGA Live 2 product description does not name X Series, confirm the exact display, software, mounting hardware, and connection requirements with us before combining them.
