For example, the 2032006 52-inch shaft listing specifies four holes at the top and particular Maxxum, Maxxum PRO, and Fortrex applications; it is not a universal replacement for every 52-inch motor.

On brushed Terrova, Ulterra, and Ultrex motors, the shaft is pressed into the lower unit’s center housing, so a bare shaft is not a separate replacement option. No. Minn Kota depth collars and lift-assist collars are not all interchangeable. Match the collar to your motor’s exact model, generation, and parts diagram, not just its shaft diameter or model-family name.

For Terrova motors, compare the 2771500 Terrova depth collar, 2771505 Terrova T2 depth collar, and 2771523 Terrova lift-assist collar. The lift-assist collar listing is specifically for models with the lift-assist feature. The listings note changes during 2023, so a model year alone may not resolve fitment.

QUEST shafts are not compatible with their brushed-model counterparts. Collars must also be matched to their listed applications, including QUEST-specific parts such as the 2991532 Ultrex QUEST depth collar and 2991530 Terrova and Riptide Terrova QUEST depth collar assembly.

If the depth collar is slipping or failing to hold the shaft at the selected depth, check that the collar is tight enough. Tighten the depth collar to secure the shaft at the desired depth. Also inspect the collar for cracks and check the thumb screw or bolt for stripped threads. Replace the collar or affected hardware if damaged.

No. Individual replacement shafts come with the shaft only. Shaft seals and O-rings are sold separately.

When replacing a threaded shaft on a brushed motor, use Loctite 271 on the shaft threads to seal the connection. Brushed Terrova, Ulterra, and Ultrex models are different: their shafts are pressed into the center housing, so a bare shaft is not a separate replacement option. When replacing a QUEST shaft, you will need the correct wire seal and O-ring. Choose the wire seal for your motor and built-in sonar configuration:

• 880-041 wire seal — for DSC-equipped QUEST models listed on the product page.
• 880-040 wire seal — for MDI/MSI QUEST applications listed on the product page.
• 880-042 wire seal — for listed Instinct and Riptide Terrova QUEST models without built-in sonar.
• 2294630 O-ring — check the product page for its specific QUEST applications.

The wire seals above are alternatives for different applications. You do not need all three wire seals.
