Strong, Quiet Boat Control for Saltwater Fishing

The Minn Kota Riptide Fortrex saltwater bow-mount trolling motor combines a rigid Mono-Arm mount, assisted stowing and deployment, and variable-speed power management. Work along a shoreline or return to a productive stretch with a motor built to reduce mount movement and stand up to saltwater conditions. When it's time to move, Lift-Assist helps take the effort out of bringing the motor back aboard. Choose your preferred configuration using the product options above.

Choose Your Thrust & Shaft Length

  • Thrust options: 80 lb or 112 lb.
  • Shaft length options: 52 or 62 inches, depending on configuration.

Not every thrust and shaft-length combination is necessarily available. Match your selected motor's battery-voltage requirements and shaft length to your boat before ordering.

Lift-Assist & Removable Bowguard Mount

  • Lift-Assist: A stainless steel, nitrogen gas-charged spring helps reduce the effort required to stow and deploy the motor.
  • Removable Bowguard 360° bracket: Breaks away on impact from any angle and automatically resets to help protect the motor and mount.
  • Dual-bearing design: Helps reduce noise, while the removable mount makes taking the motor off the boat easier.

Mono-Arm Design & Mount Stability

  • Mono-Arm construction: A one-piece extruded, anodized aluminum arm helps reduce wear and keep operation quiet.
  • Counter-Tension Stabilizer: An integrated spring applies force in both the stowed and deployed positions to reduce play and steering torque.

Saltwater Corrosion Protection

Riptide lower-unit housings are grit-blasted and coated in aluminum to help resist oxidation and rust. A final powder-coat finish adds protection for saltwater use.

Battery Efficiency & On-Water Power

  • Digital Maximizer: Variable-speed power management delivers the power needed for your selected speed, helping conserve battery capacity.
  • Push-to-Test Battery Meter: Press the button on the motor head to check remaining battery status.
  • Cool, quiet operation: The lower unit is designed to run cool to help extend motor life and quietly to reduce disturbance.
