the bottom drive collar had broken from using motor in high waves on Lake Michigan. I ordered this kit and replaced everything myself. The repair job is a little difficult but not too bad - be careful with the lift assist spring. It is under tremendous pressure and will bite you hard if you aren't careful. I was able to insert a cable tie in the hole before removing the retaining collar from the shaft and this helped with the removal. Motor is back on the boat like new again.

Good kit, watched a couple utube videos on how to replace the upper and lower steering gear bearings. Only my lower bearing was bad but replaced both since it was apart, couple hours and this kit made the job easy.
